Welcome to Puptials. By using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
Puptials offers event pet care services, specifically designed for weddings and special events. Our services include the collection, care, and return of dogs during these events. Where requested, dogs will be exercised, watered and fed, as per the client’s instructions.
2. Booking and Payment
Booking: Clients must book our services at least 30 days in advance of the event. Bookings can be made through our website or via email.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required within 7 days of booking agreement and final quote sent. The booking is not confirmed until the receipt of funds.
Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the event. Payments can be made via bank transfer.
Extended Service: Where the service extends beyond the agreed booking length, the client is liable for an extended service fee. The extended service fee will be charged at a rate of $20 per 15min period, or part thereof. If an extended service fee is charged, the client will be invoiced after the event and will have 7 days to settle.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation by Client: If the client cancels the service, the deposit is non-refundable. If the cancellation is made less than 30 days before the event, the full payment is non-refundable.
Cancellation by Puptials: We reserve the right to cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather conditions, illness or emergencies. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
4. Health Disclosure
Health Requirements: All dogs must be in good health and up-to-date with vaccinations. Clients must provide proof of vaccinations upon request. Dogs must also adhere to any health and vaccination requirements as set out by the venue.
Health Disclosure: The client will confirm that their dog is in good health and has not been exposed to any contagious diseases within 15 days prior to the event date. If the dog becomes unwell within 15 days prior to the event date, the client will contact Puptials as soon as feasibly possible to notify of the illness. Puptials reserves the right to cancel any bookings as a result.
5. Behavioural Disclosure
During the course of our service, the dog will be appropriately restrained at all times. No one must remove or release the dog from any restraint device. The appropriate restraint device for your dog will be agreed upon at the time of booking. Your dog must be familiar and comfortable with the agreed restraint device.
Behaviour: Dogs must not exhibit aggressive behaviour. We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog that poses a threat to other animals, staff, or guests.
Behavioural Disclosure: The client will disclose any known behavioural issues or health conditions that may affect their dog's care. The client understands that failure to disclose such information may result in the termination of services.
6. Collection and Return of Dogs
Our service includes the transport of dogs to and from the event venue. Transport will be provided in a road safe vehicle and the dog will be appropriately restrained to ensure the safety of staff and your dog. Dogs must be familiar and comfortable with travelling in vehicles.
Collection: Dogs will be collected from a pre-agreed location at the specified time. The client must ensure that their dogs are readily accessible for collection.
Return: Dogs will be returned to the agreed location at the specified time. The client must be provide clear instructions as to how their dog should be confined within the drop-off location.
All bookings include mileage of up to 50km from a start point of Petone Station. Any distance travelled between 50km and 90km for any one booking will be charged at $0.40/km. Distance travelled will be calculated from Petone Station until final drop off point. Please get in touch for tailored pricing if you require transport further than 90km.
7. Emergency Veterinary Care
In the event of an emergency, Puptials will seek veterinary care for the client's dog and follow the advice provided by the veterinary care professionals. Clients agree to be responsible for any veterinary costs incurred as a result.
8. Photographs and Media
Clients grant Puptials permission to take photographs or videos of their dogs, the clients and event guests during the event for use in our marketing materials, website, and social media. Clients understand that no compensation will be provided for such use.
9. Termination of Services
Puptials reserves the right to terminate services at any time if the client's dog poses a threat to the safety or well-being of other animals, staff, guests or clients.
10. Privacy
Puptials respects the privacy of its clients. Personal information collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of providing our services and will not be shared with third parties without the client's consent, except as required by law.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
12. Amendments
Puptials reserves the right to amend these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes, and continued use of our services will constitute acceptance of the amended terms.

1. Assumption of Risk
The client understands that dog care involves certain risks, including but not limited to the risk of injury or loss to their dog, themselves, or others. The client voluntarily assumes all risks associated with these services.
2. Release of Liability
The client releases Puptials, its owners, employees, and agents from any liability arising from their dog's participation in their services. This includes, but is not limited to, injuries, damages, or losses incurred as a result of their dog's behaviour or the actions of humans.
3. Indemnification
The client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Puptials, its owners, employees, and agents against any claims, actions, suits, or demands, including legal fees, arising from or related to their dog's participation in their services.

By agreeing to use the Puptials service and paying the associated deposit, the client acknowledges that they have read and understood the Terms of Service and Liability Release. The client agrees to abide by the terms and conditions.
